After several failed attempts of a match (with people leaving and the teams being unfair) eventually an epic game was found. Goals were scored every which way despite some insane keeping by Bryn, Stuart and especially Tonga who saved shot after shot in the first half.
Asians FC temporarily borrowed star player Stefan and youth player Emory from Non-Asains FC and it made the game truly remarkable. Towards the end NAFC lead by a healthy three goals and only needed two more to win the game but AFC put in a last burst of desperation and scored the three goals making it 18 - 18 at the end.
Highlights:
Andrew and Chris's goal: Italy was shining today and this goal was amazing to watch. Starting from the centre circle Andrew passed to Chris who one two'd around a defender not once, not twice but three times before passing off to Andrew who unleashed a superb strike into the back of the net. That goal made my day.
Emorys Performance: To play football with a group of people you hardly know is hard enough but you did it brilliantly. Goals, defending, passing and the rest you were top notch today.
Mikey: he played sensational, esp in the midfield role. passing, dribbling, and shooting was 110% effort today.
Andrew and Chris: the two italians had great teamwork and communication and scored many great goals.
A very obvious highlight:
Tonga: he put in lots of effort 2day. His exceptional and insane goalkeeping despite conceding goals and missing key defenders (Agam):(.
Also he has immense fighting spirit to equalise the game even though the N.A team were always up by 2-3 goals. God like dribbling/speed, scoring goals, teaming up with his bruda, mikey and stefan, pure determination, and "neva say die" attitude has amazed us all!

ReplyDeleteemory: a youngster on his debut played brilliant!! exceptional dribbling, shooting, and passing, has made him a superstar! he is a young talent for the Non- Asians.
Thomas: another young talent (my bro), but on the Asians. his teamwork, dribbling, and determination has earnt him respect by all players.
Polina, Annaliese, Cathy, Kor, Cherie: again the girls put on another good performance, with none of them standing around doing nothing. Tackling, kicking the ball, and defending was 110% effort. Well done girls!
Jan: You played well Korean boy, with 2 goals, and sensational passing and dribbling.
Stefan: fantastic midfielder he is. He runs up and down and doesnt stop running. Good Tackles, powerful clearances and goals. Nice work!

Emory - excellent player, especially considering the age difference and not knowing us.
Chris - awesome player, and scored several goals
