There's no denying this week was a terrible week for the Mount Lawley Senior High school Premier League. Today's game though easily made up for it. Everyone played superb! Team play was orgasmic to watch, both sides executed it with perfection. Defending and Attacking were fantastic. The game was just brilliant in every aspect.
Man of the Match: Jamal: Played really well. One of the best headers ever seen in the league so far, unfortunately Tonga was in goals and saved it. You were fantastic in the midfield, passing, setting up goals and some top notch defending.
Honourable Mentions:
Everyone: Good effort, passing play and the rest.
Quin: Played extremely well today. Performed the best cross the MLSHS PL has ever seen, perfectly placing it for Quan. Also scored a nice looking goal, a flick on header. You weren't caught offside once and you got back to defend as well. Top effort.
Tonga: Well struck goal, great passing and defending. More importantly were the numerous saves you made in the second half, some of which were spectacular diving saves.
Derreck: Inspirational defending. Close range, Justin powers a shot towards goal but you save it. With your face. That truly was taking one for the team.
Montie: Defended and passed very well, keeping AFC out of NAFC's half.
Andrew: 100% effort, good to see. Lead the attack of NAFC, finding the back of the net. Not to mention the great passing. well done.
Mat: Some good keeping prevented AFC scoring. Nice catching, reflexes and positioning.
Alex: Good defending, especially your slide tackles which work most of the time.
Caio: Teaming up with Andrew in the attack, passing, crossing and putting tonnes of pressure on AFC's defense.
1st woot!
ReplyDeletei voted for tonga cos he played very well, scoring a rooney like goal. also made som hell good saves in lunch 2.

it doesnt matter, i have to catch up on big piles of homework because i went to 2 excursions this week. and also prepare for 4 tests next week and afterwards the exams. this weekend for me is super studying 12 hours a day!!
hoping everyone studies hard with pure determination, good attitude, and the willingness to never give up especially during the economic crisis, swine flu and a large amount of pressure on us to get good marks/grades.
good luck everyone with your studies!!

ReplyDeletegood afternoon peoples,
ReplyDeleteLiverpool won 3-0 against West Ham putting them at the top of the English Premier League.
2 goals by Steven Gerrard and a goal by Ryan Babel.
Unfortunately Aston Villa fans will be devastated due to a 3-1 loss to Fulham. Ashley Young scored a goal to try to keep his team going but didnt prevail.
congrats Tonga, for man of the month!
ReplyDelete:)
i second that motion
ReplyDeletethanks Polina, i appreciate that!! because only you, Riley and Jordan seem to care about my efforts last month.
ReplyDeleteunfortunately, i feel this blog is dying...
ReplyDeletewe need something to bring life back to it
The whole purpose of this blog is at the end of season we can look back at all the goals, man of the matches and the league table. Still any sugestions to make this blog better will be helpfull.
ReplyDeleteJordan, at the end of the season, you should announce awards on the blog. For example here are some suggestions:
ReplyDeletetop scorer (golden boot), best asian player, best non asian player, champions and runners up of best positions goalkeeper/defender/midfield/striker, Man of Match winner, most improved player, most hard working player, etc, etc.
maybe have some player profiles
ReplyDeletei say tomorows gonna be 4-3 for asians
ReplyDeleteo wait i just relised no games mondays. soz. well then for wednesday i say 2-1 asians
ReplyDeletekia, wrong section
ReplyDeletePlayer profiles would be good, one of these days someone (*cough* BRYAN *cough*) should bring a photography/home camera down to the oval and we can take pics to put on the blog and profiles.
ReplyDeleteAnd also, I don't think that the blog is dieing, it's just the comments are. But that is just fine, because I come for the blog, not the flame-wars.
