Today's game was cancelled. Now, now it was worth it. We spiced things up by having a year 11's vs year 12's match and it turned out to be pretty decent. The only negative would be people complaining about a bit of pushing but that's football, body strength is a part of it so quit your bitching. More importantly most people played really well today and did showed some fine skill. In the end we lost 6-4 but it was still a good performance, year 12's were just better and slaughtered the defense.
In the first half of the first half we had them pinned back in there own half for the majority of the match even leading 3-2 at one stage but when the broke out of defense they did it really well and we just couldn't handle that.
During the second half the score was 4-4 but they managed to score a late winner. We committed to the attack, with almost everyone up, they got us on the break and scored another. All in all it was a good match.
Everyone gets Men of the match today. =) (Partly because I'm lazy but mostly because most of you deserve it.)
Highlights:
Tonga slide tackling Luca: Luca didn't like that at all! Tonga stood his ground though, what a champ.
Mikey and Kia's performance: Both played well today in every aspect.
Norman headbutting someones foot after scoring a goal: That looked pain full, good goal though.
Jason scoring two goals: Nice goals and wingplay.

ReplyDeletei was going to tell you what happened between me and luca but i guess anonymous beat me to it. i agree with anonymous about Luca, he takes it a bit too seroiusly. I like slide tackled him and also got part of the ball. my slide tackle didnt even hurt him and he starts on me.
hes yr 12 and he starts complaining that a yr 11 slide tackled him. Boo hoo, I get slide tackled by him and the other yr 12s, you dont see me complaining. I just take it like a man and play on.

ReplyDeleteFew incidents happened, with Norman getting kicked in the face by Luca. and thien getting bumped by year 12s causing him to get angry at them.
Plenty of chances missed by us and year 12s took all their chances!!
uhhhh i believe that wasnt the case. tonga full credit to u for standing ur ground and luka does have a quick temper, BUT u do actualy have to watch ur sliders. that was the 2nd or 3rd time u slid at him and got no ball. uve gotten me a couple times a while back and u got no ball.

ReplyDeleteSome year 12s complained that they were outnumbered 20 to 1. which makes me think "why did you verse us in the first place?" because they asked us if we wanted to verse them.

kia, i remembered last year after the exams when me, you , riley, andrew, agam, dylan, finn, james played soccer against luca and his team. you slide tackled him and got the ball, he got pissed at you, and said the same thing to you, and you were like, "i fully got the ball". sorry kia just bringing back some memories
