Today's match was sheer class. The best game the league has ever produced. Everyone gave 100% effort, defending was top notch and the football in general was a pleasure to watch and take part in. In fact it was so good it deserves a highlights reel:

1st half: The starting whistle blows and Asians FC are instantly on the attack. Some nice defending by Non-Asians star defenders, Ben and Alex makes sure no Asian can score.
2nd minute: What this? Tonga has passed a great ball, through all of NAs defenders and straight to the feet of Jan, hes one on one with the goalkeeper! Doesn't connect properly and misses by a good two feet, unlucky.
3 - 15 minute: Lots of NAs defending, superb defending I might add.
15 Minute: Tonga shoots from outside the box, the balls in the air, its dipping, its dipping, its beaten the keeper. Clang off the crossbar and out.
16 minute: Pressures on for everyone, you can cut the tension with a knife. Nobody wants to make a mistake and concede the first goal. Great defending by both teams See's the score 0-0 at halftime
2nd Half: From the kick up Norman takes a shot from halfway. GOAL!!!!! No. Due to hidden rules and regulations the goal did not count (under rule 69 - cannot score at the very start of a game when a teams defenders aren't ready). Poor Norman.
17 minute: More beautiful defending from both sides.
19 minute: Mat gets the ball just in front the halfway line, he looks up and sees Kia foolishly out of his box. With Frank Lampard like finishing he has a shot. The ball flies off his foot, rising, rising, over Kias head and dips into the back of the net. Beautiful goal, the winning goal.
22 minute: Tonga headers a ball from point blank range towards NAs goal, its coming in with some speed. Out of nowhere NAs goalkeeper, Eddie makes a fantastic reflex save.
24 minute: Asians are desperate now but cannot penetrate the great NAs defense.
The final whistle blows. Both teams are happy with today's game, it was fantastic football.

Man of the Match: Edmond; First clean sheet in the history of the Mount Lawley Senior Highschool Premier League. Very impressive performance. On your debut for Non-Asians FC (loan trade for Mikey) You made some great saves and smothered crosses. You were unbeatable today. Best debut ever, hopefully your next games will be just as good.

Honourable Mentions: Everyone.

Alex: Superb defending. You were unbeatable, your tackles were perfect, you didn't make any mistakes and nobody got past you. Great game.

Ben: Sensational defending. Clearing balls, defending, marking, pressuring attackers and tackling. Nice stuff

Mat: Scored the winning goal, a sensational goal from halfway. Also did well in the midfield with nice passing, tackling as well as some great defending in the first half.

Stefan: As usual your performance was great. Tackles were deadly, clearances and crosses were power full and your passing game was good too. Well done.

Quan: Putting body on the line, took a power full ball to the chest. Nice stuff.

Tonga: Nobody tried harder than you, you set up some beautifull shots that wouldn't go in. Your finishing was good and you almost scored. You were at both ends of the field, attack to and defense in the blink of an eye. Good game.

Jan: Nice to see you trying. Defending was good and midfield was pretty good too. What let you down was your final ball. Still played well.

Riley: Your always open, always in space. When you get the ball you can provide great crosses and occasional goals. Nice work.

Caio: NAFCs attacking midfielder, your spinning move almost works. Your passing is good though and you had a good game today.

Mikey: A fairly quiet debut, still passed and tackled well but still below your sensational standards.

Thein: Nice defense work and long passes.

Monty: Played great today. Tackled well and passed good, I saw some nice through balls and other skills. Well done.

Im probably forgetting some people but god you all did really well today. Keep it up.
